In honor of our first blog post ever (drumroll please) we’d like to shed light on a particularly interesting event that finished recently. From September to December we’ve been greeting guests. Guest brewmasters, that is. We opened up 6 tanks at our BrewPub on the beach and gave them reign to brew their own personal recipes. They milled, sparged, brewed and hopped to get their recipes juuuust right. We supplied most of the ingredients ourselves to make it as least burdensome as possible to the brewer. In addition, and perhaps most interestedly, each brew was then sold at our BrewPub with 50% of sales going back to the original brewer! We encouraged each brewmaster to promote their beer in whatever creative ways they see fit. The brewmasters felt it was truly a unique experience to brew on our equipment and have complete freedom pf crafting their beer to their liking AND have the opportunity to profit from their brew in a commercial setting. We were lucky to work with Shane and Jeremy Logan from Misfits Brewing, Jorge Quintana from Cayo Hueso Brewing, Will & Christine Roark from Red, White & Brewing Co., Luis Suarez from Old Deck Beer, home brewer Joseph Diaz and Jared Vermeulen from J-Town Brewing who crafted the most popular beer of the event!
